Laiuse Straw Museum
Laiuse Handwork Chamber Golden Straw or Laiuse Straw Museum offers its guests the possibility to visit an exhibition which shows straw, reed and birch bark objects made using different techniques (weaving, plaiting and intarsia), ornamental straw objects and decorations. Visitors have the possibility to buy or order souvenirs.
Coop Hotel
Coop Hotel is located on the main street of Jõgeva, in the city centre, in a house with a dignified history. It all started almost 100 years ago in 1919, when the Jõgeva Economic Union was formed – the goal was to open a main store in the town.Coop Hotel opened its doors in September 2021, continuing the long history of the house. Laiuse fortress ruins
Construction of the Laiuse fortress was launched by the Livonian Order in the late 14th century to defend its eastern borders. The first defensive structure in Estonia to be fitted with firearms, it gained its definitive appearance in the late Middle Ages. Cannon towers were added to the fortress in the mid-15th century. The fortress crumbled in 1559 but was restored, with wooden barracks built at the end of the Swedish era, which accommodated Karl XII and his entourage from 1700–1701. After the Great Northern War the fortress lay in ruins.
Winter village
At the beginning of wintertime, the whole winter village becomes a Christmas wonderland. Santa's brother Glämmi lives with elves and other characters in the Torma Manor complex in Jõgeva County. The winter village puts everyone in a Christmas mood, regardless of age. During the week, we welcome groups from kindergartens, schools, and companies. And on weekends everyone is welcome with* children's Christmas events * different programmes for groups * activities for families * accommodation in a glamping tent * Christmas events for companies The winter village has cosily furnished tent houses with a fireplace.
Restaurant Kosmos
The restaurant consists of two parts: an 80-seat main dining room and a separate private dining room for up to 35 guests. The main dining room offers a cosy atmosphere and WiFi. The small dining room is suitable for smaller gatherings booked in advance (birthdays, company parties).
Paduvere Farm Museum
The museum introduces the life led by farmers in the 18th century and the everyday lives and work of our forefathers. There are five oak sculptures created by St Petersburg artist Grigori Azarenkov by the museum. The museum is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, which make it a popular venue for folk parties and theatre performances.
Udu Farm
Udu Farm is a lovely holiday complex on the shores of Lake Kuremaa. The historical Palamuse and Kuremaa castles are just a few kilometres away. Guests have the use of 12 cabins, a sauna, a large party building, 4 covered areas, an extreme plastic film sauna and a children's play area. You can also rent the sauna complex, which has its own kitchenette and which accommodates 12-19 people on the upstairs level. Boats are available for hire and you can go fishing on the lake.
Kursi summer manor
The Kursi summer manor was built by count Manteuffel in 1888 as a place to retreat from the buzz and daily activities of the manor centre. The same is offered by the manor today – a noble building in the midst of beautiful nature, secluded enough, but yet close to everything you might need in order to spend a refreshing holiday, focus on productive work, or meet for a long-awaited encounter. The house of rural town elder Carl Schmidt
This cafe, situated in the heart of Põltsamaa, provides catering to up to 100 people (with group menus available). Daily soups and specials are also offered. Live music evenings are held here from time to time, and in the summer you can enjoy the fine weather on the terrace, which seats up to 30.
