The hunting lodge was built in 2008 on a place where an old watermill used to stand, for people who love nature and its spectacles, but also a little comfort and luxury in the middle of a forest. Kuremaa Swimming Pool and mini-SPA
Kuremaa Swimming Pool and mini-SPA is open seasonally and there are three swimming pools: a 25-metre with four lanes, a children’s pool, and a pool with different attractions in the SPA. In addition to swimming, you can go to a Finnish, family, and private sauna (in the pool section) or a salt, Finnish, and steam sauna (in the SPA). There is also a solarium, a beauty and massage salon, a gym, indoor court for ball games, a cafe, and a seminar room. Accommodation is available in the building next to us.
Weaving Chipwood Baskets in the Avinurme Wooden Handicrafts Center
Weaving a chipwood basket is the most popular attraction in the wooden handicraft centre and if there's a place in Estonia where this craft is known, it's Avinurme. Everyone can learn the basics of weaving a basket in the workshop with the help of an instructor: you pick out chipwood, weave a berry basket from the chips and finally apply a finish. Route House is a multifaceted roadside business -- this complex is located 1 km from the centre of town on the Piibe highway that is marked on the map as highway 39. The Piibe highway is a historic road between Tallinn and Tartu.
Palamuse O. Luts’s Parish School Museum
The historical Palamuse Parish Schoolhouse is now open to visitors as it was seen in 1895. There, you will find the classroom and the living rooms of the parish clerk, known from the movie Kevade. The heart of the museum is located in the freshly completed main building, where you will also find a classroom and a workshop. The main exhibition of the main building is meant for the whole family, reflecting the history of the Estonian parish schools through Kevade. Guesthouse at the Village Elder Carl Schmidt’s House
Carl Schmidt's House, the light-coloured 2-storey wooden guesthouse, is located in the heart of the small town of Põltsamaa in Central Estonia, 1 km from the Tallinn-Tartu road. The guesthouse's cafe and restaurant for up to 100 persons are located on the ground floor and all bedrooms for up to 45 persons are on the first floor. Avinurme museum train
A narrow-gauge Sonda-Mustvee railway passed through Avinurme during 1926–1972. It was a true 50-year-long prosperity era for the villages located near the route. Today, a section of 178.5 metres of the former railway, the rail brigde, and the rail vehicle have been restored. All those who are interested are welcomed to take a nostalgic train ride from May to October, meaning the railway is opened when the weather is warm enough and the door of the locomotive can be opened and the railway is closed when the door of the locomotive freezes shut.
