Palamuse O. Luts’s Parish School Museum
The historical Palamuse Parish Schoolhouse is now open to visitors as it was seen in 1895. There, you will find the classroom and the living rooms of the parish clerk, known from the movie Kevade. The heart of the museum is located in the freshly completed main building, where you will also find a classroom and a workshop. Avinurme Puiduait Arts & Crafts Store has the largest selection of wooden handicrafts in Estonia. Baskets, water buckets for sauna, hot pads, spatulas, butter knives, and thousands of other accessories for the kitchen and household. In addition to water buckets, there are ladles as well as foot- and headrests. In addition to local wood crafts, we sell Estonian natural cosmetics, as well as beautiful textiles and carpets. Estonian design and handicrafts can be found on our two floors. In addition to shopping, you can also order various workshops from us and have a bite to eat in our cafe.
Seminar rooms at the Village Elder Carl Schmidt’s House
Village Elder Carl Schmidt's House has two rooms for seminars and other meetings. The hall on the first floor accommodates 100 people and there's also a bar. The cozy fireplace hall on the second floor accommodates 26 people.
Laiuse Straw Museum
Laiuse Handwork Chamber Golden Straw or Laiuse Straw Museum offers its guests the possibility to visit an exhibition which shows straw, reed and birch bark objects made using different techniques (weaving, plaiting and intarsia), ornamental straw objects and decorations. Visitors have the possibility to buy or order souvenirs.
Coop Hotel
Coop Hotel is located on the main street of Jõgeva, in the city centre, in a house with a dignified history. Kalevipoeg’s Home
Kalevipoeg's Home consists of the Kalevipoeg Museum, Kalevipoeg's Adventure Park, Kalevipoeg's Playground, and Saare Community Centre. The Kalevipoeg Museum provides an excellent overview of the Estonian national epic "Kalevipoeg". In the Kalevipoeg's Adventure Park, you can choose between lower or higher adventure trails and challenge yourself between the ground and the sky. Those who wish can also play discgolf. Avinurme museum train
A narrow-gauge Sonda-Mustvee railway passed through Avinurme during 1926–1972. It was a true 50-year-long prosperity era for the villages located near the route. Today, a section of 178.5 metres of the former railway, the rail brigde, and the rail vehicle have been restored. All those who are interested are welcomed to take a nostalgic train ride from May to October, meaning the railway is opened when the weather is warm enough and the door of the locomotive can be opened and the railway is closed when the door of the locomotive freezes shut.

We are located in WPark - Põltsamaa wakepark and we offer delicious dishes for every taste. Both WPark guest and people from the surrounding area are welcome. In our menu you can find fries, burgers, steaks, soups, daily specials, and more. The menu also includes pastries, cakes, coffee and cocktails. Lively concerts and parties take place on the café's terrace in wonderful summer evenings. During the off-season, we offer a catering service and room rental with a sauna. We offer breakfast porridge in the café, Mon-Fri at 9:30-11:30. Daily specials are available Mon-Fri from 12:00.
Weaving Chipwood Baskets in the Avinurme Wooden Handicrafts Center
Weaving a chipwood basket is the most popular attraction in the wooden handicraft centre and if there's a place in Estonia where this craft is known, it's Avinurme. Everyone can learn the basics of weaving a basket in the workshop with the help of an instructor: you pick out chipwood, weave a berry basket from the chips and finally apply a finish.
