Laiuse fortress ruins
Construction of the Laiuse fortress was launched by the Livonian Order in the late 14th century to defend its eastern borders. The first defensive structure in Estonia to be fitted with firearms, it gained its definitive appearance in the late Middle Ages. Cannon towers were added to the fortress in the mid-15th century. The fortress crumbled in 1559 but was restored, with wooden barracks built at the end of the Swedish era, which accommodated Karl XII and his entourage from 1700–1701. After the Great Northern War the fortress lay in ruins.
Udu Farm
Udu Farm is a lovely holiday complex on the shores of Lake Kuremaa. The historical Palamuse and Kuremaa castles are just a few kilometres away. Guests have the use of 12 cabins, a sauna, a large party building, 4 covered areas, an extreme plastic film sauna and a children's play area. You can also rent the sauna complex, which has its own kitchenette and which accommodates 12-19 people on the upstairs level. Boats are available for hire and you can go fishing on the lake.
Virtus Hostel
Virtus Hostel forms part of a large sports complex. It provides accommodation to athletes and those attending sports camps. It is situated far away from the nearest town to allow visitors to enjoy true peace and quiet, but close enough to allow them to walk there within just 10 minutes.
Siimusti Clay Industry
Siimusti Ceramics operates from the clay factory, which was founded in 1886 by Joosep Tiimann, a man born from a family of farmers. The location was suitable due to the clay deposits present here. At first the brick manufactury was created; afterwards they started producing oven pots and dishware. Nowadays you can get acquainted with the manufacturing process of ceramics: The pouring of clay into the mold and the firing and glazing processes. The end product can be bought onsite.
Kuremaa Swimming Pool Guesthouse
The Kuremaa Swimming Pool Guesthouse is located in the lovely village of Kuremaa, next to with the neighbouring Kuremaa Manor and Park, the Kuremaa Swimming Pool and Kuremaa Beach. The guesthouse is popular with large tourist groups and athletes in sports camps, as the guesthouse is geared especially towards their needs.
Aruküla hill recreation area
There is a lovely recreation area on Aruküla hill in Kaarepere which is perfect for families, friends, and larger groups. There is a playground with swings and a slide, especially loved by younger children. You can rest under the shelter or on benches or your own picnic blanket. Barbecue facilities are also available on site. Visitors can also play disc golf (there is a rental point). The Struve Geodetic Arc is also located in the recreation area. The view of Vooremaa from the hill is magnificent and there is plenty of room for camping.
Mokko Farm
Mokko is suitable for those who love nature, peace and quiet. We can accommodate individual tourists, families with children and groups of up to 30 people. A small group or a company can organize an event or a training here without being disturbed by other visitors. Our guests can use a large hall and a fully-equipped seminar room in the main building; you will be accommodated in two suites with all conveniences and two double rooms on the first floor of the main building and in six double rooms with all conveniences in the new barn. To keep both your mind and your body in the best possible shape, come and spend a refreshing day on the Kuremaa skiing tracks. There isa track to suit everyone, from beginners to seasoned skiers, in stunning surroundings. You can relax after your exertions in the Kuremaa sauna and pool.
Restaurant Kosmos
The restaurant consists of two parts: an 80-seat main dining room and a separate private dining room for up to 35 guests. The main dining room offers a cosy atmosphere and WiFi. The small dining room is suitable for smaller gatherings booked in advance (birthdays, company parties).
Coop Hotel
Coop Hotel is located on the main street of Jõgeva, in the city centre, in a house with a dignified history.
